Okay, so my family is building a new house and being the Tech Guru of my family, I have been tasked with designing the house-wide sound system.
We are going to have 4 places around the house with various input selections, and running the line-level input back to a main input selector for the house, which will amplify the signal and distribute it to the speakers in the house.
So, what I need information and recommendations on is what sort speaker wiring and signal wiring I should look into. I don't know what sort of limitations there are on a normal RCA connector type signal, as far as distance goes. The max length of the cables should be about 80 feet for both speaker and signal wires, though most should be around 50 I would say.
Any recommendations other than be sure to use a low gauge wire and keep everything away from power conduits?
For reference, I think we'll be using this to run everything. With smaller input selectors in each of the 4 locations.
