I have a Sony 42 LCD in bedroom. My old hand me down big 52 jvc is dying. I have learned that plasma tv is not as prone to burn in issues so I was all set to get one

Now I can't decide who makes the best entry level. I say entry level cause $500 is all I want to spend and 42-50 inches is plenty.

Was going to order a panasonic plasma 50 last night for $599 but decided I can use the 42 or 46 version of the same line to save about $200.

My other choice was samsung. But I also see they have 4 or 5 various levels.

My budget will not allow me to get the really good reviewed models so I am sitting here at Panasonic or what?

I saw some LED TVs on sale but I am afraid if I buy a cheap on I will have issues since they are new

Then again there is LCD which I have not really looked for cause this tv will be used for movies and football.

The room is medium light. Window is covered so if ceiling light is off then there isn't too much glare I don't think unless the light from 30ft away is going to reflect. I just thought of that.

Mainly I want good picture. No blur. I don't need to connect a million things to it. Needs to be good reliable tv

I heard panasonic were somewhat like older pioneers and they did plasma very well.

I need help. I have $500 I want to spend

Panasonic plasma, should have gone with the 50" and called it a day.

At 10+ feet viewing, anything smaller than 50" is going to be small, and something you will wish you had just bought the larger size of within a year.
