For $1200 I can get an SVS PB-12 Plus or I can get 2 of thr HSU VTF-3 MK2 subs. Any suggestions or alternatives for the same price range?

Hsu no longer produces the VTF-3 MK2. So they will be hard to find unless you are looking used. You could go with the VTF-2 MK3 that is identical to the VTF-3 MK2 but has 100 watts less power. If not you would have to move up to the VTF-3 MK3.

Have you e-mailed SVS and HSU and asked their opinions?

Also how about the SVS PB12-NSD/2 :D

I don't know how much you gain going to a single driver Plus vs. the NSD/2. That's something to ask SVS, but I know you save a few hundred bucks.

If you have the chance, I highly recommend going with two subwoofers.

I bought a PB12 NSD/2 based on my emails w/ SVS between the Plus and Dual: "I’d probably pick the Plus for size and depth and overall balance, but the NSD/2 is THE choice if you aren’t looking for n’th degree depth and just want the best bang for the buck for any single sub (size be damned) under $1,000 to the door."

Be known that the dual is enormus

For about $1000, you can get the VTF-HO with Turbocharger. That will be very tough to beat in that price range.

I guess I was wrong...kinda... I ordered b-stock VTF-3 MK2 today. :D

I agree with abboudc, for $1000 the HO is a great deal.
