Which to use for fronts

I had bought some of the Polk r50's from fry's when they were having the good deals on them and have been using them as my fronts. Well I just bought a pair of Polk Monitor 30's to use as rear surrounds and was wondering if these would sound better for fronts than the r50's. I know that the r50's are floorstanders but was just looking for opinions. Here is my current setup.

Fronts Polk r50's
Center Polk csi25 soon to be csi3
Rears Polk Monitor 30
Subwoofer Bic H-100
Receiver H/K AVR 135

Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thank you for the help.

I would definitely keep the r50's up front if I were you.

I bought a pair of those R50's for a buddies Xmas present. They sound ok, but remember that this series is either moth balled, or still down on the food chain as far as Polk goes.

But hey, I've heard them full range with an Infinity PS-12 sub, and an old Yammy DSP A1000. They will crank it out! I would only try the 30's up front if you can't get the 50's to image right.

But, budget permitting, keep those Polks, because they will make excellent surrounds if you buy something else for up front.

Thanks for the replys and that is kinda what I was thinking, to keep the r50's up front. They sound pretty good right now til I can get something else up front.

Try it both ways, then decide which you prefer. You have already spent the money, so all it will cost you is a little time.
