You will get better suggestions if you can post a pic. You might have to post in the "new member pad thread" a few times before you are allowed to post pics.

Have you tried cleaning the switch? Switches can get dirty or corroded over time, and DeoxIT often can fix that.

If cleaning it does not fix the problem, then you may wish to contact Denon for the part.

Good call!

Don't replace it if a good cleaning will suffice. While you got it open, might as well blow out any dust and clean all the switches too.

I have done that and it has not worked , could anybody tell me what controls the switches although I don't think that's the problem cause all the rest of them work so it must just b the switch itself ,its a 2 prong tact switch, would like to replace it but are there certain specs I need to take into consideration before I purchase a new switch.

You haven't provided enough info to get a good response. Usually, switches control functions, not functions controlling switches.

My advice is:

Post pics
Call Denon
Search on Mouser Tactile Switches | Mouser

Another option might be to remove a switch from one of the other functions on the unit that you would never use and replace the bad switch with it.

If you can get the suspected bad switch out of the unit, then it is easy to test it with an ohm-meter to see if it is functioning correctly. When in doubt, use a switch that is over-rated for any electrical conditions that you would expect it to see.
