Which Speaker Wires to Buy for Mirage MX 5.1 & Yamaha RX-V671

Hi Everyone, I hope this is the right section to post.

I recently brought the Yamaha RX-V671 and Mirage MX 5.1

I just want to know what brand Speaker Wires are good?

Also, which gauge should I get? 16? 14? 12?

My Apartment living room size is 18X12.

You don't have to buy wire buy brand, it's more important to buy the right Gauge.

The first link provided by Rickster will give you plenty of information. Lots of people around here like using big He-man wire (12 or even 10 gauge) just so there's no doubt, but that's overkill in most situations. Unless you're doing very long runs, or want to spend a little more on nicer looking wire, I would just buy some Monoprice 14 gauge speaker wire (see Rickster's second link) and be done with it. It's reasonably priced and gets the job done. You won't get better performance by spending more.

Blue Jeans Cables get a lot of love around here, but cost a bit more.
