I am considering the Denon 4310($1,600 on sale), the Marantz 6004
($1,249) and NAD 747 ($1,299). I am more into music than HT. My speakers are Paradigm Studio 100 V5. If anyone can shed some light on any of
these receivers I would appreciate it. I have had some problems with
some older NAD pieces (although when they worked they sounded great).
Has NAD improved in reliability?

Thanks in Advance

I've heard other Nad owners point out the same thing about their Nad equipment.

I'd opt for either of the other two you've pointed out. Or maybe the Onkyo NR906. Any of the three should have the power to drive your Studio 100s.

I like Marantz

In addition to the Marantz SR6004 did you also consider the SR7002 or the SR8002 ? I have the SR8002 and have been very pelased with it.

Denon and Marantz are both excellent choices. I am not familiar enough with NAD say one way or the other.

Good Luck and Good Sound!
