Which Receiver Should I Buy?

The Pioneer VSX-9040TXH or The Yamaha HTR6290?

I realize the Yamaha is in a price range much higher than the Pioneer but I can buy the Pioneer for $600 and the Yamaha for $800 ............ Money does matter since i don't have much to blow. I'm wondering which would give me the best audio quality for my buck.

Your Klipsch are easy to drive, so its not about sound quality. Pick the feature set you prefer.

In that pricerange there are other (and IMO better) choices. For under $800 you can pick up an Onkyo SR876. Its refurbished - but we are talking about an AVR you couldn't touch for under $1600 when it first came out - and then there is that silver! Of course you can get a black one for another $70 - or learn to love silver.

One of my friends own the Pioneer VSX-9040TXH and he is really happy about it. I like the way it looks than the Yamaha receiver for sure
