which receiver is better?

im caught in the middle btw the denon 3808 n onkyo 707 receivers...which has better sound quality? im using a set of jbl speakers.

It's a toss-up. The speakers and the room determine 99.9% o the overall sound. Be more concerned about which one has the eatures you need.

But, or my uses, I personally tend to prefer Denons.

I would pick the Denon 3808 100% of the time, but that's just me.

I agree... I'm also a bit biased now that I just got a Denon AVR-1910 last night

They are going to sound the same so pick the one with the features that you want. I happen to run Onkyos because they are great bang for the buck, but as I said pick the one that has the features that you like.

Yeah, I am an addict. I will say the Denons are more difficult to setup than my Yamahas, but not too bad. I got the 1910 for a 3rd little system I have, but that system probably won't get too much use... but for the little bit of time I spent messing with it last night I was impressed.
