I am going to attempt to install my home theater system myself. The wires are already run in the wall. I have 6 ceiling speakers and eventually one sub on one zone and 2 other speakers on another zone. Which reciever do you reccomend? I am not an audiophile, and want the best deal for the money.

Welcome to the forum!

The "best deal" is the one that fits your needs. So, there are some questions to ask. To start with:
  • What are the impedances of the speakers that you will be using (in the ceiling and in the other zone)?
  • What types of connections do you want?
  • Do you want audio processing over HDMI?
  • What is your budget?

It's actually nice for a change, to not see the first response to a thread regarding a receiver to come from LOTRs.

I think I have Yamaha NS-W660 with an impedence of 8ohms.

As far as connections. I think I have component cables in the walls. They are not very big... that is for sure. Maybe 14-16 gauge just guessing.

I am not sure what audio processing over HDMI is... so I don't know on that one.

I want to spend the least amount of money possible. I will be flipping this house in 3-4 years... so the less I spend the more profit I make later on.
