Which Plasma to buy?

I currently have a Panasonic 42" Plasma display in which I am selling with my house. I will have about a $6,000 budget for my plasma t.v? My cable company is broadcasting in 1080i in my area and I will be buying the Denon 3805 A/V receiver. What do you all recommend for a Plasma? Is Fijitsu or Hitachti good?
I need some help on this one! The t.v. is for cable and dvd's only...No gaming, or p.c. use at all.
Thanks
C.T.

For that amount of money, I'd purchase a 50" Fujitsu. Their AVM processor is still state of the art. Any reason you're not interested in another Panasonic?

I went in a local store and feel in love with the Fijitsu 50" Display. It put made my Panasonic look like crap!
As far as LCD vs. Plasma...
I just like the Plasmas better...

Check out the Panasonic Th-50PHD7UY....their 50" commercial model. It is an absolutely fablulous piece of equipment :) . I have it and the 3805 and life is good. Being a commercial model it does not have an on board tuner, nor speakers....but if you are gonna run things through the 3805, you don't need that stuff and it just adds cost. You can find one online for under $4500.

I agree with Red. I have a similar one year old Panasonic 50" and it's great. Beware of the demo models in stores. The color is often not set up correctly to make it appealing in the store but when you run a set up disk at home the color is not the same. Try www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com for more info. I had very good luck buying from www.dtvcity.com for about $3k less than CC and BB.

Take a good hard look at the Plasmas from Hitachi--the Cineform models are excellent--it also looks like they will take the new 1080p hi def. I am torn b/w the hitachi and the sony line. Outside chance I may still go with the new Mitsubishi LT-4260 diamond series LCD flat panel w/ internal 120 gig PVR.
It is set to finally be available Mid-May this year and a price of $7500 list.
