Decideing between Beats Studio or the HD598's. (Any other suggestions are welcome)
What I will be useing the headphones for - I will be useing the headphones to listen to music mainly on my ipod/iphone, and listening in school. I would like to know if the Beats Studios are any good and would be the best decision to get, I wont really need any high quallity headphones like the HD598's because I wont be useing them on anything more than a ipod/iphone but I just don't know what to go with cause I don't know if the Beats Studios will last. If you have suggestions please leave them thanks.

Don't get either. Get a pair of grado sr60's. The beats are all marketing hype and you are uncertain of the hd598's. For half the price your getting IMO better more useful headphones.

I recommend these:

Denon DN-HP1000 Professional DJ Headphones

They will wipe the floor with the Monster Beats, and will reduce outside noises much better than the open back Sennheisers. Very comfortable, neutral, and resolving.

I use a set of AKG K240's. Comfortable and sound great. I think it all depends on what you are looking for. If you want a neutral sounding headset or something with more color. As an example, the AKGs are neutral and more like the recorded music, where as something like the Beats ect have more Bass and other curves built into the design.

Also if you plan to use with an Ipod ect... watch the impedence and make sure it is low like 32 or so. If not you will need an amp to go along with the headphones.
