Which Onkyo Receiver and Speakers? Please HELP!!!

I have a 7 year old Onkyo system that has been PERFECT. I want to upgrade!!.

Here's my dilemma. I want a good receiver, and speaker system. My thinking is:

Option A: Get a 7.2 receiver (TX-NR708 or HT-RC270 don't know the difference between them. If anyone can help with that it would be great), and a speaker package such as SKS-HT750, or SKS-HT540 (don't know the difference, if someone can help with that).

Option B: is getting the HT in a box HT-S9300.

The TX-NR708, and HT-RC270 are better receivers but they would be with non-THX speakers, so should I invest the majority of the money in the receiver, or the system?

Thanks in advance for helping clarify these questions :)

If you truly want to upgrade. Listen to as many speakers as possible with a budget in mind. Then worry about the receiver. Speakers are what makes 90% of the system (including subwoofers). I would strongly suggest a budget for the speakers and for a sub.
