Which Mount is Better?

I can't speak for the other brand, but I just put up a 37" Westinghouse with a Peerless and I think I could do chin-ups on the arm.

There's a selection for various sizes and applications, but I got the SA740P

PC Mall's price was about 1/2 of MSRP.

The Peerless you spec'd looked a little flimsy to me. I would over-buy rather than under-buy when you've got a couple thousand bucks "hanging" on your decision.

Thanks for the link. This one looks like it would work well:

Does yours hide the wires pretty well?

I have the Peerless

I have that Peerless holding a 37" Sharp Aquos, in my kitchen. It's very sturdy, and is a nice unit. Make sure the one you choose, matches the mounting holes on your tv. Maybe you could call or email both companies, as to the bracket they recommend, for your app?
I can't speak for the other one; though it's looks good too.
Good Luck

Yeah, that looks beefy. Not sure where the wires could be hidden, though. The one I have has channels on the top and bottom of the taller section of the arm. They are each big enough to hide a pretty thick DVI or HDMI cable along with one other cable the thickness of an IEC power lead. With stereo RCA, S-Video, cheaper component, or other smaller cables, you could probably get 3 or 4 in each of the cable channels.

ok. thanks for the info. I guess I'll go with the peerless one. It looks cleaner then the other one.

Peerless

I am happy with the peerless holding up a 37" panny plasma. Very sturdy. As has been said, you have to order an adaptor plate that fits your particular set. Very easy to install. i recommend studs only.

Amen to that, brother! This is not the situation to get crafty. The Peerless instructions make it very clear that you should be sinking the anchors deep into studs. Pay attention when you're pre-drilling.

One other note on the Westinghouse LDCs, in case anyone is hanging them: I had to buy M5 screws (roughly 1/2" long) and drill out the VESA holes on the Peerless plate ever so slightly.
