Title says it all. I can get any for relatively the same price. The SVS will be a used one. Others brand new. This will be used as a second sub in my ht room. Room is relatively small. Any advice appreciated. Thanks!!!

The SVS sub, if it is still in good condition. The others can't compare to it.

none of them for the money... those brands, yes... but it seems like buying a velodyne just for the name....PA-120 or the PL-200...and save your money until you can save up money for the big boys.

Have you heard those subs?
I had the M8 and it's a great sub for a small to medium room. They go on sale now and then. What is the other sub you have?

The 25-31pci is going to be on the level of something like the Hsu VTF2 or the Rythmik FV12r. It will far better than any of the other subs mentioned.

Really?...and you have tested these other subs out? What do you mean going to be on par?

I have an HTD level 3 sub(got it with the speakers) so I would like something that's better than that.

Out of the original three, the SVS definitely wins hands down, but you mention a small room so if you want something new, the STF-2 might do nicely.

In all honesty just in case you move to a larger place I'd get the 12 inch SVS. I'd get it now before it's gone. Can you go see it first?

I have seen pics and it looks to be in good shape. The original owner has given me a detailed description and provided me a serial number so I could check out the age of it.

The SVS should have the best performance of the 3 mentioned. It's a used sub with 25hz depth. That's not to say the others are bad subs, but the SVS on the list is at a different level. It's pretty rare to have a crack at an SVS used sub and if there is an issue SVS has great customer service to help you.
