I would tend to lean towards Marantz for their build quality, though I've had excellent results with Yamaha over the years as well.
Guessing you need a compact receiver.
This is not a case or 'bad' for either product. Kind of like choosing between a Camry and a Accord. Both are reliable mid-sized cars, and much more depends on personal preference than serious quality differences.
