Where's the best place to get a DLP lamp?

I have a Toshiba 46HM84 and NO I am not a few hundred hour user, thank god; I've got thousand of hours out of mine, loved every minute of it, but the bulb finally popped last week.

www.alltvlamps.com @ $219 is one of the only places I've found so far.

Toshiba 23311083 LAMP aka TB25-LMP is the model number listed. Is it possible to get better bulbs that can marginally increase the picture quality (not that I have any complaints now that I'm using HDMI)?

I'm no expert but I'd replace it with the same exact type of bulb it shipped with. You won't get a better picture with a different kind of bulb, and messing with it could void your warranty if you damage your display.

Not that I haven't looked, but buy OEM bulbs. Don't try aftermarket!

As many bulbs as I've been through and problems I've had getting new lamps in the past, stick with the manufacurer or an authorized dealer if at all possible. Besides, 99% of the dealers drop ship from the manufacturer anyway. It may cost a little more, but you can skip the middleman and the BS promises about ship dates.
