Hey Guys,
I'm new to the forum, but have really enjoyed what I've read and learned so far. I've gone to a few speaker shops here in town and listened to some good stuff, but would like to know if there are any good online stores that I could price some equipment with. I've tried searching everywhere and haven't been able to find any. Any reccomendations?

Thanks

Depends what you would like and how much you are willing to spend. My next ht system will come from here Emotiva. Other than that when I bought my current reciever I di a search with several price engine search. The one that found me the best deal at a good company was cnet shopper. Then I went here to insure that the company was legit.
Good Luck

Here's a few.

I would suggest JR b&H Photo ECOST ETRONICS and especially recently UBID . Lately UBID has had a plethora of high end Denon and Marantz products as well as Yamahas going for very reasonable prices. The Marantz products have full factory warranties. The Denons only have 90 warranties and I'm not sure about the Yamahas. All of the places I have listed seem to be very reputable online establishements, but I have only ever personally purchased from JR. The transaction went very smooth despite the fact that they had to ship to Canada. I hope this gives you a place to start, good luck.

One more thing to take note of, the audioholics staff are selling off some of their reference euipment. I'm pretty sure that you'd like what you see.

Also...

One call is good as well. I've used them in the past and they have good equipment at good prices and often run some unbelievable clearance deals on quality equipment. I got my ATI amp from them for $399 brand new($800 list).

Thanks Guys, I appreciate the suggestions. What I'm looking for is just a good online retailer for speakers, subs, receivers, cabling...etc. From my experience in computer hardware, online stores are usually much cheaper than local shops. I'll definitely check these sites out you guys suggested and if you think of any others, feel free to let me know. Thanks again. :)

Tell us the brands you are looking for and maybe we can help some more. Some brands are next to impossible to find online or cheaper then retail. DynAudio is great of example of a brand that is next to impossible to find online or discounted. B&W is also difficult to find online.

The only brands I'm really interested in at the moment are the ones I've actually heard locally in town, B&W & Definitive. I'm open to others, but I just know they both sound good. I've heard great things about Paradigm & NHT. thx

B&W and Paradigm are nearly impossible to find online. I don't like Def Tech so I don't keep up with that brand. I own B&W and NHT, I buy B&W locally and I buy NHT anywhere I can find it discounted at a reputable seller. Most online NHT dealers must sell at MSRP but you can find new in box NHT stuff on Ebay frequently from sellers with good feedback (I got a pair of SB3s and one M6 this way and saved 1/3 off MSRP). Brandnamez.com sells NHT cheap but they don't always get good reviews for customer service, so caveat emptor here.

If you find B&W and Paradigm online, be very cautious. I don't think I have ever seen a reputable dealer online with these brands.

Yawa has NHT. They also have MB Quart. If you have the equipment to run 4ohm speakers, you will love these. I am a B&W fan myself. The MB Quarts have a similar sound.

I disagree!
If you stick with one highend dealer you will save way more money, plus if you have problems they can be fixed easier and faster. Go online right now and try to find a Mcintosh MX135.

sound city sells PSB speakers. THey are an authorized dealer and are still clearing out some items that have been discontinued in the image line at really low prices. Give this site a look as well.
