I bought my Paradigm Monitor 7s sed and they didn't come with spikes. Now that I just moved into a house with carpet in the living room i'd like some. Anybody know where I can get them?

I don't have any idea of Paradigm did something weird with sizing but most companies just use generic carpet spikes in one of a handful of sizes. Prices run between $5 and $100/speaker depending on how <strike>gullible</strike> picky you are ;). Some companies use 1/4", some 6mm, some 3/8" and a few use 1/2". If you measure the hole and try a couple of sizes of 10 cent screws from the hardware store to get the size then search google shopping and Amazon you should be able to find something generic.

Ya I don't really care so much about the quality of them, the carpet is just really squishy and the speakers are top heavy, so they aren't real stable, and I was thinking some spikes would help. The acoustic benefits are just gravy :)

I already tried amazon and google, not having too much luck. Any other suggestions?

Try searching "speaker spikes" instead of "carpet spikes" on Ebay. I came up with 175 results a couple of minutes ago when I was looking for some.

I already previously linked Parts Express :) If you filter through the pages and look at the different finishes, they often have certain ones on sale for like half price.

I checked monoprice and they don't seem to have any. Audio Advisor has some, but most are expensive.

The alternative would be to go to your nearest Paradigm dealer and see if they have them and/or how much to order a set.

Hadn't thought of checking out a dealer, I'm sure there has to be one in the greater Twin Cities area.
