Good luck keeping your car clean.
Gonna be hot up there. Congrats John. What are you going to do for work up there?
Still working here for now and my company has an office in Sacramento, so I may still be able to work for them. That office is currently pretty slim, so I don't know if that will work or not, I haven't talked to them about it yet. Unemployment is high that far north, but I've got enough background that I am sure I can find work up there. I have two uncles who live up there as well, and one said the schools in the area are looking for teachers in technical fields, and that is basically what I do now (CAD Software) For what our mortgage is up there, I could work at Home Depot and afford it
I will probably sell my car or garage it and get a truck/SUV for up here. We were up there for 7 days and it was between 95 and 99 every day, ("Yeah, but it's a DRY heat") but it is dry and there isn't much concrete/asphalt, so it doesn't
feel as hot up there.
Earthquakes won't be any different for us up here than they were in the Bay Area; living right in between 2 major faults here. Lassen Peak is about 30 mi away and is volcanic though
Shots were taken with an older Canon S400, manual settings.
