I recently repaired a pair of Paradigm Phantom v2 floorstanding loudspeakers, and they sound as good as I remember them. But, to use them in a 5.1 system, I need to get two satellites, a sub, and a center.
Now, because I have Paradigm fronts, I'd like to get a Paradigm center, to try and keep the sound as similar as possible. I've looked at buying new, and I just cant afford it. (Paradigm is made in Canada, and my lousy US money doesn't buy as much as it used to.) So I was thinking about trying to find maybe older models to buy. The Phantom series, I believe, became the Monitor series. If I could stay in the same family, that'd be swell.
So where would I start looking for older / cheaper paradigms? I know some people say eBay and Craigs List, but I dont trust eBay (for good reason), and no one around here (Seattle) ever sells Paradigms. (Someone sold a set of those plastic Studio or CS ones, but they sound so tinny, I cant stand them.)
