Where can I audition SVS subs??!!!

Ok im in Montreal Canada and would like to audition svs subs...anyone knows where or wich dealer i can go? or are svs only in the states??...i cant find any dealer that have svs!!

Sonic Boom is the only authorized Canadian SVS dealer that I'm aware of.

I bet they would give you an in home audition. It's worth a shot IMO.

I'm in Mtl as well. There are no dealers around us. As SVS is an internet direct business, you can't audition in a showroom. Even in the states its only ID. Thats what keeps their prices so low. If retailers carried their products they would be marked up 50% or more. Sonicboomaudio is the authorized Canadian dealer. I'm not sure if they have a showroom or not. I don't think so, but you could ask. Let me know if they do...

ok sonic boom...but without auditioning which of svs sub is the best(boxes) do you think??...no money issue here? and would 2 seismic12(paradigm) be better then 1 of the best svs??

Well the best sub SVS makes (and one of the best subs on the market IMO) is the SVS PB13 Ultra. If you have the coin and the room that's the way to go.

One 13Ultra should have no problem beating two seismic 12's. I had seen a post on another site (AVSforum I think), Claiming you needed 3 servo15's (Paradigms best,$2700CAD each) to equal the 13Ultra!...not sure if thats a gross exageration or not... If you have the cash get one. Its easily one of the best on the market at almost any price.

Oh and if there really is no money issue, get two 13ultras! I will be very jealous if you do...

I had seen a post on another site (AVSforum I think), Claiming you needed 3 servo15's (Paradigms best,$2700CAD each) to equal the 13Ultra!...not sure if thats a gross exageration or not... If you have the cash get one. Its easily one of the best on the market at almost any price.

ok thx for the answer..i will seriously think about that..i already own a seismic12 wich is quite impressive(for a compact sub) but if one 13 ultra can beat 2 seismic12 it must be a real beast..lol...either i buy another seismic or i will go with the 13ultra...could i use the seismic12 with the 13ultra or better sell it??

You could use the seismic with the 13ultra, but it would be very tough to place and tune them to sound right, certainly above my experience level. Even with proper tuning, the 13ultra is so good I don't know how much you would really get out of it. You would probably be best to just sell the seismic12 and use the one 13ultra. If you do decide to sell let me know, I have a friend looking for one. He lives in Mtl as well so it would be a local pickup. PM me if your serious.
