Hi, I have a question, I have a Panasonic AV control receiver and i have it on for about an hour and the thing its like really hot, is this normal? Because at my gf's house her dad has a JVC AV receiver and i see it on literally 24/7 and one day i touched the top and it was just warm. So why does mine get so hot? is it normal or bad or what? someone help me please. Thank you!

Does yours get hot just idling, not playing? Or, it gets hot when using it aggressively? How much space do you have around it compared to that JVC?

Is that JVC playing all day long, or it is just on?

On mine its just there playing music at low volume level and on the JVC its just on not playing anything. And Nothing is ontop or around it but a CD or two.

I have a Panasonic receiver and it gets very hot. Actually, the louder I turn it up, the cooler it gets.

I have always heard that Pansonic receivers run hot. I can vouch for that. I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure you have adequate ventalation.

We have a Panny SA-HE200 and it runs warm, never hot, even at full surround on 'theater' night. It's in an open (front and back) cabinet.

I have an SA-HE100 it is not in a cabinet. The fan only comes on when the volume is extremely loud. Like I said, the higher the volume, the cooler it gets. I have no idea why. It's been working fine for two years. I think it's just normal.
