Yeah, you feel creepy pressing those buttons because you don't know if they want to talk or not. I have an IRC server running (local machine) that people here can use if interested in casual chatting. When my machine is on, I always have a presence in the #Audio channel. This server is not linked to any major IRC network. The server is not registered as a DNS name, but is referenced simply by it's IP: twentry-four.two-twenty-seven.one-twenty.one-fifty-four, default port (#6667). I always recommend Pidgin (at download.com) for beginners.

It is not my intention to steal useful dialog from this BBS. If this is inappropriate, please delete this post.

I just 'worded out' the IP to try to keep it from being trolled by search engines. You have to use the actual numbers as the server name when entering it in an IRC client program (like mIRC or Pidgin).
