What's the internal culture of Apple like?

It's no specific secret that I'm no particular Apple supporter, maninly becase I think they do not promote openness and the freedom of choice, I think their licensing rules reminds most of old communistic thinking and wonder if their headquarters should be in North Korea, because this is how the company seem to be run.... to me

I especially like this one:
If you have a project that Steve is not involved in, it will take months of meetings to move things forward. If Steve wants it done, it's done faster than anyone thinks is humanly possible. The best way to get any cross departmental work done was to say its for Steve and you'd probably have it the same day. :eek:

I think that is like most companies. If it's a pet project of a big dog, it gets done. If not, it can take forever. Seen it in just about every company I have worked for. Only Apple has Steve Jobs elevated to god status. I don't see that at many companies.
