so I have a Denon 2807 that I am happy with that some nice people here have helped me set up, now my questions is the following, I have a bedroom that is not very big, I lay about 7 feet away from the tv, I have a 42" pioneer elite and the Definitive technology procinema 60, the smaller ones, my question is the following, I am looking for a receiver to power these speakers up, I don't need it too loud, other than features like HDMI switching and more wattage like 110 times 7.1, which I only have a 5.1 what are the benefits of going with another denon 2807 over the cheaper Yamaha HTR-5960? I really can't seem to find them, does it have a better sound chip?, will I noticed the difference? I just need to hook my speakers up that is it. any suggestions? thank you in advance.

The yamaha you mentioned should be more than adequate for your bedroom, here is another model to consider, factory refurbished Yamaha RX-V1500 at uBid for $379. As far as which is better between brands, it's a matter of personal preference. Yamaha, Denon, Harmon Kardan, Marantz and many other brands offer quality equipment. You can also find a lower model factory refurbished reciever from Denon or one many other manufacturers for a good price if you look around. I'm sure others will add different models you may like.
