Whats the best way to power this 2 channel setup.

Ok I have a pair of Canton Karat M80 towers and I was wondering whats the best way to power them. I have a Onkyo 506 right now but I don't wanna under power speakers cause I've heard that can be pretty back for both receiver and speakers. Here are the specs on the Karat M80. Any help would be most appreciated.

Well the best way to power them would be with separate amplification. Unfortunately, your receiver doesn't have preouts to add an amp.

So it comes down to if you want to replace your receiver with one that does have preouts & then get an amp as well.

In the mean time, watch how high you push the volume.

I would suggest a cheap AVR that has pre outs and add the Behringer EP2500. Unless you want HDMI and pre outs then I would say get a Yamaha VX 663 or the like and the EP2500. Both will run you about $625 for the package.

Excellent. Since you are pretty much starting from scratch again you might even want to skip the receiver & go with all separates. A prepro/amp combo from Outlaw or Emotiva would look way cool, and sound even better!:cool::D
