I have bose media av28 system. It comes with media center that connects to subwoofer/amp that gives out signal to 5 speakers.

What Ive tried
1)Using center speaker for signal, but it barly give any bass. Using left speaker for signal sounded better.
2)Using audio out / recorder on the media center. Sound level stays high all the time /no volume adjustment.

Possible options
a)Cut into cable that goes into boss subwoofer/amp. Its a strange cable with 5 wires ( 1 red, 2 white ,2 cooper)
b)Take apart bose subwoofer and use its cables to amp through lo/hi converter.

Please advice, also should I disconnect old subwoofer or have both running?

I think you mean Bose, not Boss? I can’t find anything on Boss.

If you do mean Bose, their systems are pretty much closed. You can’t add any outboard amplification to them.

Yeah that's the problem with Bose, they're not true components, altho they have some items that work better at that. I'd think about moving on from Bose altogether....what sub are you trying to integrate? You've discovered that using other than a sub pre-out is limited and that a fixed line level out (fine for recording) isn't any use.

I got it for free :D and this is for the office not my home use. I took bose amp/subwoofer apart and connected cables that were going to sub to hi/lo converter > subwoofer amp. It works but the amp will need adjustments. LOTS OF BASS. (Im using old car amp/subwoofer)
