whats the best guage for speaker wire

does a lower gauge speaker wire carry more of a signal or does higher??

and do i want thicker wire or thin?

this is for my speakers in an entertainment center

Thicker/lower gauge is better, but don't get it too thick to fit in your receiver's or speakers' binding posts or spring clips or banana clips or whatever you're using to stick em in there

This has already been answered in your OTHER thread about speaker wire, complete with links to other web pages with explanations of the term "gauge", and recommended gauge sizes for various lengths of connections.
