What will you be doing on Super Bowl Sunday?

I can't think of a matchup I want to see less than Sheli and Mother F'in Brady!

I will be staying FAR away from the TV when this one's on. Last year the wife and I went to Sonoma and went wine tasting. It was AWESOME because there were no lines at any of the wineries. Maybe we'll do the same this year.

Anybody else got any non-football related plans?

Same here, unless my dad has a get together to watch the game, I have no interest in watching it. Good day to go out and do things because nothing is too busy. Had the 9ers won, it would have been even LESS busy around the Bay Area I am sure :)

I don't even know when superbowl sunday is. I'll probably be chilling in bed with the girlfriend watching lost on bluray - I had never seen it before and am only 4 episodes in so far...it's pretty interesting :)

How the hell did you avoid Lost when it was on?!?!? Even I got suckered into it. I don't think I started watching until the second season or so though. Just wait until you get to the Polar Bears, the Sharks with Dharma logos on their tails and the Smoke Monster. Weird stuff.

Not me. I'm not so much of a football fan as I am a Chargers fan. If the Bolts aren't playing I don't really have any interest in the game. That's why I never play fantasy football. I never know enough about the players on the other teams to make good draft decisions.

After just getting that Niner's tattoo also............ ouch, in more ways than one.

Hey, didn't we just have a "Capitalization/Punctuation" pet-peeve thread? :)

It would have been nice to see Brees and Mighty Mouse rip apart the Patriots defense.

Yeah, I was pulling for Mighty Mouse to get himself a ring. When that didn't happen I was hoping for the "Harbowl" with the Ravens winning. The Niners don't need another ring.

You wrote the book on it Dan.

It's okay though because your team took a football to the knee.

After watching the miserable Redskins for part of another season (I quit watching them by late October), I'm happy to watch any competently played football.

My sympathies go out to San Francisco fans, and Detroit fans too. Its been a long wait, and I have little respect for the NY Giants, who only sometimes show up to play. This is far from gloating, but I have to remind everyone that the Giants lost TWICE this season to those same miserable 5-11 Redskins. Perhaps Belichick and Brady should study the films of those games :D

I wonder if anyone has a tattoo of this?

I'll only watch if the Dolphins are in. I suspect I will never watch another Superbowl ever again.

It's pretty easy for me to not catch or get sucked in to tv shows since I haven't had cable/satellite/an antenna for the last 8 years or so :) I do download or buy tv shows from time to time, usually on a whim without ever seeing them before. My father gave me the Lost bluray set for Christmas, so that's how I got started with it. I did really like the 4 episodes I've seen so far and hopefully I'll manage to finish it in the next few months :D

Over the past five to maybe seven years, I've just lost interest in sports. The attitudes of the players and the fanatical fans has really turned me off. No offense to Dan, or others, but for me the worst part is the all day pre game shows. When I do watch sports, I make sure all the pre game shows are over.

So getting back on topic, I don't know what I'll be doing, but it probably won't be watching the game.

I'll pretty much root for any team that is playing against New York or Pittsburg teams. I've made a tradition of having a party at my house, but I'm looking to move here so I may just spend the day cleaning house and packing things up to try to get the house ready to go on the market. All this work to get my home properly A/V ready just to move away. Arrggghh!!

I'll watch it, if I am not out in the Gulf fishing. Both of these teams last playoff games were awesome to say the least. Neither was a blow out, and neither outcome was for sure till almost the last few seconds. And even though both of the teams I was hoping to win there respective finals aren't in it, I think this Super Bowl will be pretty good.

The two teams that I hate the most made it so I won't be watching.
Can both teams lose in a game? :D

I'll just play video games or watch movies with the wife and kid.

I don't know who to boo for... That being said I'll pass on the SB. I think I'll take up whittling.
