What to watch First - Help!!

I've just joined and have just had my house renovated... Of course setup for home theatre too !!

My question is - What to watch first ??
I have
Panasonic AX100U
100" Screen
Yamaha RXV 2700
Paradigm Monitor 9's v2
CC370 centre
Paradigm Mini Monitor rears
Velodyne 10 Sub

I love Sci-fi.!!! What movie to watch first??
what would you watch and why....
Look forward to your input.. and no "The sound of Music" isnt going get any where near my DVD player !!

well i would watch Black Hawk Down i love the sound and the cinematography is good to. as for sci-fi, predator 1, or star wars would be a good start but hey that is just my opinion.

You've got to inaugurate your system with the Grand Daddy of 'em all: Forbidden Planet, they have a restored version out, then:

Fifth Element-colors and p.q.
Chronicles of Riddick-action, sound, p.q.
Aeon Flux-colors, p.q.
Blade Runner-story
Alien vs Predator-action, p.q., sound

If I were going to take the virginity of a brand spankin' new HT (I wish I could), and if I were a sci-fi nut (I am), I'd choose nothing less than the all-time classic, ground breaking... Alien! Or for more of an a/v audio treat, though a fantasy, go for nothing less than Lord of the Rings!! (But you might want to get a bigger-better-faster-stronger subwoofer before this plunge, though...something like an SVS Ultra or Hsu VTF-HO. )

Star Wars would be good eye and ear candy to get a good feel for the system's capabilities.

It's good to see some Serenity fans here. It was a great series and also a fine movie!

Then you will have dull movies with no sound of music but not sure how you can get only dialog

Lots of great sci-fi out there, or part sci-fi.
All 3 Terminator movies, Blade Runner, Equilibrium, both Riddick movies, Time Cop was interesting, an older movie.

Batman Begins or Total Recall would be nice. Newer movies would be 300 or Shooter. I did enjoy Serenity also.

The "Final Cut" will be released Dec. 18 on standard DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray. The remastered Blade Runner "The Final Cut" will be released by Warner Home Video in a two disc special edition, a four disc collector's edition and a five disc ultimate collector's edititon, the latter in limited "Deckard Briefcase" packaging.

Ridley Scott said the DVD includes newly released footage, commentary and extended scenes, he even re-shot the death scene of replicant Zhora, played by Johanna Cassidy 25 years after the initial release of the movie.
