What to expect from this kit.

Looking at this DA sub kit from PE. The vented volume for this thing is 12.7 ft3. Does that seem right? The kit is the sealed enclosure. I was wondering what one might expect in terms of output, low freq rolloff and articulation out of this kit. The price is cheap enough. Has anyone built this kit? Curious. o_O

Not sure which kit you are referring to, but they all look pretty good.

My only argument, would be, especially for a sealed kit, take a look at this: Seas L26ROY

I will be building one of these later this year, and likely a second shortly after. Point is, that driver is so highly respected for being accurate and musical I really fail to see how one can go wrong. Especially for $550 (sealed).

My bad, here's the link.

With everybody wanting cheap budget subs, I was wondering if anyone has built this. It's bottom o' the barrel price wise.
I would be inclined to think that you would have better quality of sound for an extra $30 by getting the 10" model. I think this little guy would give you more in the long run. And because its so small, would be easy to add a second or more to the back of the room to give more even response across your listening positions.
