I know you don't want to hear this but don't sell yourself short and just get something to get by with. You would be better off and more happy if you waited and get what you want instead of something as a holdover.

Really I have been into audio (mainly car) forever. The reason I waited so long to get something nice for the home is because it aint' cheap nigga. I wanted to go big instead of small several times over. It is finacnially better that way in the end. Sure it may take a longer but.........

Where do live? Are there any dealers close by? I found a place that had something I wanted that has no interest finacing for 12 months (lucky me:D). I payed up about half the rest will be paid off next tax season. Maybe you could go that route.

But just think about it, don't sell yourself short. If you are anything like me you will second geuss youreself forever, thinking what if......?!. Anyway good luck bro there are way too many choices out there, but there shure as **** ain't enough money at least in my case.

I agree with you. I may not have been clear in my last post. The reason I am asking if the ADPs would suffice as the primary/only speakers for a while is because they are the exact speakers that I want to use for the surrounds in the end anyway. It's just I could get them for a lot less than the fronts are going to cost and could maybe swing them right now. I will still get the fronts as soon as I have the extra money, so I guess I'm deciding between getting the surrounds now and have some speakers to use or don't get anything until I can gather the cash for the fronts. I guess in theory, getting the surrounds now would delay my purchase of the fronts, however, in reality it will probably motivate me to get the fronts even quicker to complete the system. And in reality, it's not even that I have to get the money together, it's that I have to convince my wife to let me spend in on speakers...

Oh, Oh.. me me me... OH wait, I'm with everyone else, get the 20's till you can afford the 60's. They'll work out great and sound nice as surrounds when the time comes.

Convincing the wife has been one of my big hurdles. But I stay true to what I said.

I see it like this, in a perfect world getting the mains will motivate you to get surrounds. But this is not perfect world. So whatever makes you happy is what you should do.

P.s. my wife doesn't understand why some speakers cost an arm and a leg. But when I get them I will do an A-B with the old pieces of junk and if she doesn't' see then, well I might pop her in the mouth. J\k or am I, maybe I'll just pop her in another orifice with something other than my hand and be done with it.:D:eek:
