What to do with these speakers

I have just bought a newer house which has a media room in it (approx. 12ftx20ft.) It is well insulated and has wiring for two sub-woofers, two side speakers, and two rear speakers mounted in the ceiling. I have Bose 901 speakers and a Bose Center speaker. My TV is a Pioneer projection 58in. I am willing to spend about $5000 - $7000 on a new receiver and additional speakers. I want to know if I should keep the 901's and Bose center and add to them for the whole theater system. I realize the 901's constrain me as to the new receiver. I can't seem to determine what receivers will be compatible with the 901's and if they would be a good choice for a home theater environment. Any suggestions?

With that budget, I'd ***** all the Bose stuff and get a new setup. FOr 5-7k, you can get a REALLY nice system.

I agree with the above. Ditch the Bose and never look back. For a budget of $5000-$7000, you can really do some damage...hell, you could probably do some damage for less if you just read some of the posts in these forums. Figure out what pieces you want, then look around the forums for reviews/suggestions on those pieces and then make your purchases...and of course demo stuff before you actually pull the trigger.

Wow, I'd love to see what I could do with $5K-$7K. Lucky.

Sell the Bose and you're probably withing a few dollars of a full THX-certified loudspeaker & receiver system. And with that you're practically guaranteed to not even need to think about having to upgrade for another decade easy.
