What to do with my JBL PB12?

Now that I have replaced the Jbl with the Ultra, what should I do with the PB12? The main reason for its replacement was because it was making a "popping" noise, sometimes at loud volumes. Is it worth buying, say a, BASH 300w sub amp [$150 @ Parts Express] for it? I read it goes in relatively easy.[?] Would it complement the ULTRA in anyway? [I have my doubts;)]. Does it have any cash value "as is"?

doesn't even sound like a plate amp problem anyway, the popping is most likely a driver issue, just give it to some kid like I used to be, let him take it apart and develop a love for this hobby too..

I was thinking more along the lines of target practice :)

The JBL PB10 and PB12 are well known for having bad amps, and since the manufacturer of said amps went out of business (not unsurprisingly), there is little hope of an exact replacement. Even JBL doesn't want to deal with them anymore - they will offer you a credit towards a new sub.
