In what way(s) do you feel that your system is lacking? Sounds like you have a pretty decent receiver, very nice (if forward) speakers, an adequate CD player and a decent DVD player. To be honest, in your position, I'd hold onto the money and wait until I got into my new apartment. You may need to spend some money on acoustical treatments (rugs, window coverings, etc.) once you move in and set up your system in its new environs.
If you get into your new apartment, find the acoustics to be good and still feel your system is lacking, remember that your speakers are the most important element affecting what you hear; then your room acoustics; then your receiver and other audio sources. That said, if you like the Klipsch sound, I'm not sure that you can do much better than the speakers you have. I mean, as I understand the Klipsch line, your speakers are near the top of the line in their bookshelf size speakers. If you consider upgrading your receiver, your $500 + whatever you could get for your AVR 330 could get you a few more bells and whistles but probably wouldn't get you a huge increase in SQ.
In short, I'm not sure that $500 is enough to give you any significant increase in SQ by purchasing hardware (other than possibly a sub). Perhaps others think differently.
