Also, I'll be looking to sell a 27" Sony Wega SDTV, only a year old. Anyone know of a good way to sell this?

It's all a matter of personal preference. I like the look of Plasma for DVD (warmer color and nice contrast ratios). LCDs look sharper to me, and have brighter displays and their contrast ratios are getting better. You just need to visit a hi-fi/video store that has dim lit rooms to compare some TVs.

What about Blu-ray/HD DVD? Those will provide crystal clear picture on an HDTV.:)

I've seen a lot of 720p/1080i 46-50" HDTV's in that price range available, that'll display DVD's fine.

Are there any other requirements you have? 1080p, HDMI 1.3, plasma, LCD, or Rear Projection?

Not sure which city you're in, but for electronics sales I've had very good luck with Craigslist recently. I find you're able to cut around the BS (and fees) of the ebay process and you don't have to worry about attempting to ship anything- although it's not like you're selling a 50 inch DLP. The other nice thing about CL is that the buyer can come over, check out the merchandise, and then pay you in cash.
