if the non CI versions are the same as CI versions over there ...

I believe pre-outs start with the 2808 in the 08 series.

in the 07 series, it started with the 1907 (i guess that's the price of adding HDMI)

I'm actually very pleased with it.

I 'upgraded' from my H/K AVR7300 because I wanted the additional video capability that the 2308 offered. I was willing to take a hit in power handling because in my new place I have only a 2.1 setup.

The output of 100wpc is enough to drive my Infinity speakers fine, and the AutoEQ feature did a great job setting up the system.
