Hi,
Any recommendations on surge protectors that are not as expensive as Monster for protecting my AV equipment. Total cost of my equipment is around 4000 including receiver (Denon AVR-3803), TV (Panasonic 37PX60U) and Hsu Ventriloquist speakers.
Thanks

I own four Tripp Lite's HD10DBS models. That all provide a US$500,000 insurance coverage for all UL\CSA compoentents connected. Hard to beat that. Also provide 3570 joule rating. This is a number you should keep in mind when comparing units. You will also need protection for satellite cables, telephone cables, and ethernet cables.

I think I paid about $80/each. There used to a review by audioholics of this unit but I can not find it.

+1 for the Tripplite units. Well built, reasonably priced, high joule rating, and quite attractive in an "industrial" sort of aesthetic.

Thanks for all the feedback on surge protectors. I found Tripplite for $80 on Dell and plan to get it.
Thanks again.
