What Subwoofer is right for me?

Well, I want to come right out with it. I'm a bass pig. I love pounding, window rattling bass. I can't get enough of it and it can never be too loud. I love feeling the vibrations from the low frequency bass lines while sitting in my chair or at the couch. I like to throw on some Rap/Hip Hop when I'm looking for some rumbling phat bass lines. But when I'm in the mood for listening to actual music, I like a wide variety of things and wouldn't mind those areas being represented too.

I don't have a whole lot of experience or knowledge of home audio. I'd like to spend a thousand dollars or less (preferably less)on a sub. I'm looking for something more SPL oriented, rather than SQ. Right now I have a Cerwin Vega CLS-15 tiding me over. I must say, I'm not disappointed it's pretty loud and does pretty decent at about 35 hz, but as I said above, I can never get enough. So, I'm either looking to upgrade from this sub or add another one too my system. Hopefully you've picked up on what I'm looking for and can make me a few good recommendations.

Avoid any decent subs! Consider a jack hammer.

There is some really good discussion on subwoofers on the following thread "... other than SVS ???"

The previously mentioned thread is good and near the end is a Craigsublist ranking which gives a pecking order for the most popular subwoofers. The thread mentions just about everything but the PB12+2, which is available on clearance for $1099 +$100 shipping in textured black. It is found at the link below:

The two 12" subwoofers are good for a lot of bass output down to 16 Hz. Below is an audioholics review of the PB12+2 which is about a year old.

If you don't mind DIY.

A 1300-watt@4ohm CSS SDX-15 can be constructed for $700CAD.
It has 30mm of excursion one-way, 80mm p-p mech and would give a JL 13 a run for its money.

Just google it.
