C chadburger Banned Mar 24, 2010 #2 I would get something for a music first application cause as long as its fat it will also work for theater use but not all theater subs work well for music. So anyway are you trying for a music system or home theater? If you want subs I would look at it would be Vandersteen, or Martin Logan beacause again these work great for music. If you want a theater sub HSU Research, Velodyne, Definitve Technology and SVS. I am not saying any of the latter subs wont work for music, just that soem can be slower and sound more bloated.
