Up until the other day, the following set up worked great. I connected an HT Omega eClaro Sound card to a Klipsch ProMedia DD5.1 Pre/Pro Decoder (via optical cable) which in turn connected to both a Polk PSW10 Sub via RCA Cable and an ATI AT602 Amp (via RCA cables) which drove 2 Polk Monitor 40 speakers. The remote to the Klipsch stopped working and unfortunately, there is no other way to control the Klipsch without it. The question is what is a good economical fix for this that provides equivalent quality sound and still allows me to control the volume with the PC? -Do I need the Klipsch in the middle? Can I directly connect the sound card to the Sub and AMP? (I realize I need cables that split into 2 RCA Connectors for the AMP) -Is there a device on the market that works the same way as the Klipsch? -Any chance someone knows how to program a universal remote to mimic the Klipsch remote? -Would I be better off purchasing AudioEngine 2+ speakers and connecting those to the sub? -I am open to other ideas.
