I think it would be highly rare that someone would have auditioned speakers from both of these internet companies.

I suggest you order the mains from both companies and do an in home demo. You figure out which you prefer, and ship the others back. Then place the order for the remaining speakers. Might cost you an extra $50-$100 in shipping. Small price to pay for something that will bring you enjoyment for years and years.

I do think that to be fair you need to look at the mtm's towers from AV123 comapred to the Axiom M22's. IMO

If your only looking for a bookshelf speaker, I will throw these into the mix against the Axiom M22's.

And I know these sound great. But again it's up to your ears which sound better. I can tell you they are very detailed, but it's up to your ears that it matters.

There is no way to know without listening to them. You may like or hate them both.

I completely agree. Great idea. AV123 has a no risk offer on the x-ls bookshelves right now (they'll pay shipping both ways if you don't like them), although they're out of stock at the moment.

Even if you could find someone to give you their opinion, it's like other have said - their opinion might not fit your preference. Speaker preference is very personal, so listen to as many as you can and decide what you like.

You cannot go wrong with Paradigm Reference Studio 20v.4 Bookshelf Speakers. I use them for both side and rear surrounds.
