So, the dude at Best Buy tells me he can still get the Kuro Elite. And, if anything goes wrong during warrentee period BB will replace it, exchange it for a comperable set worth the same amount, or give me my $$ back. Hmmmmmm!

So my options are:

1) Get the 60" Elite
2) Get the Panasonic 65" Viera
3) Wait a few months for the new Panasonic 65" V10's to hit the stores.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Depends on the price of the Elite. The 151fd 60 incher can be had for around $4-4500 delivered from authorized dealers. At those prices, I would buy it in a minute. Much more and I would wait or buy from someone else other than BB. I don't think you will get a better pic on anything else for that price for at least another year or two.

if there is no money issues, the Elite is it for whats on the market... I own 2 and nothing ive owned, seen, or read about is better.. the next gen pannys will be getting there but not all the way.. Im a fan boy of them because of accurate temps, adjustments, and with the debate of two other current sets .. nothing beats it.. though the pannys are close and will be closer with 11gen, if not better ( if pio sells them the alogarithms) which just might hapen;)

So, looks like Elite is still top dog. I think I can get it at BB for ~ 5k because I need an AR, Disc player & speakers too. Only reason why I'm thinking BB vs smaller auth dealer is because of warrantee commitment -"reputable dealer" and all that stuff. I think I'm ruling out the Viera but the newer V10 is still lingering in back of my mind. However, even if turns out to be better pic quality than the Elite.....what price?

Decisions, decisions, decisions.....

I have the Elite. The set is Awesome. If you go with the BB guarantee, I think you are covered.. I've heard many of the Pioneer engineers will be going to Panasonic now that the Kuro is going to be a dying breed.. By then, if something goes wrong, I'm sure Panasonic will have hijacked the technology.
