I've settled on getting a Plasma 50" for my home in the $2-3000 price range and want either a Panasonic or Pioneer unit but am having trouble knowing what to buy with my current gear.

I will be getting Directv HD this summer and I heard they're finally adding 50 channels to the HD lineup. We also watch alot of movies on the Denon 1920.

Any imput on specific models and gear needed would be helpful. I also want a tv tuner for locals.

You said it yourself, you know all the features you want. All you have to do is go to pioneer and pannys websites and look at the TVs that fit your requirements then go to a B&M and see which you like more. After that you will be set!

I got my Panny from Costco. I consider that store to have the best prices and warranty policies in the business, with a no-hassle 90-day exchange. You can't go wrong with Panasonic or Pioneer for plasma panels.
