Hi all. Last year i bought an Yamaha RX-V4600 7x134watt per channel and a set of speakers Dali Concept 10 (recommended amp.power 50-200watt) for front channels and Dali Concept 8 (recommended amp.power 40-160watt) for surround channels, for the reproduction of bass an Yamaha YST 1500. I'm wondering if i need to buy an Rotel RMB-1095 5x200watt to drive my speakers better or not ?

Johnny,
Nice setup. I would say that the Yamaha sub is probably the weakest link in your system. Your receiver is no slouch, but if your speakers are 4 ohms, inefficient, and in a large room, you might get some improvement with the outboard amp. Try to get an in-home demo of the AMP so you can test it against the receiver with your gear.

the concept 10 is 6 ohms 91db sensitivity. BUT with dual 10" woofers.
I guess you can't go wrong with having too much headroom.

how big is the room they are in? and how far you are from the speakers ... (that will determine if your receiver and sub is sufficient)

personally, I'd get the Rotel amp. and maybe another YST-1500 for good measure (the 1500 isn't that good with big rooms)

Hi ! My room is 3.5m width X 10m long.
Distance between me and front speakers is 4.5m and the same from the surround.
If i understood well you told me to buy another one YST-1500 ?

The main speaker has a anechoic sensitivity of 91dB spl. In room that would be about 94dB spl. Max spl is 114dB. That is 20dB above the 1 watt sensitivity which is a 100 Watt amp power out. Since you are using a sub, maybe a better one is needed but you have one, the receiver you have seems to be sufficient power wise.

Mostly depends on how loud you will listen, room size and ohm load of the speakers.
