I've read and heard that this speaker package is one of the top low-end packages out there. I got the entire thing for $350.

Now I need a good, affordable 6.1 channel receiver that will put my "good" speaker system to use. I've done some research and I'd like to keep it under $250.

Please help me!! Thanks! :D

Most here would not recommend that someone buy Onkyo speakers, as their forte' is electronics, not speakers. But since you did, there are a lot of options. For $250, you likely couldn't do better than the Panasonic XR-55. Check out ecoustics forum for a GIANT thread dedicated to it's merits. That's what I'd get for that price. You could also take a listen to some of the onkyo receivers. UBID has some factory refurbed one's for great prices. They do make good receivers. Also look at Yamaha, Marantz, and Karmon Kardon as other options.

Good luck,

Pat
