Glad you found your answers. The simplelest way to put it is the Preamp is the brains & the amp is the brawn!
At least that is what I told my friend last night when she asked as she help me finally wire up my back speakers.
God it's TERRIFIC have a full 5.1 system again. I am a very ecstatic camper right now!
