What is the Denon Link Input

I see that on the Denon 3805 a/v receiver it has a Denon Link Output. That works with the Denon 5900 DVD player. What exactly is this? Is it worth the money you would have to chunk out? Would that be the only audio you would have to plug up?
I am confused and don't know how to talk to Denon about this!
Also, is the Auto Setup and Room EQ Adjust feature really work or should I adjust everything myself. The microphone is not included.
Any information would help.
Thanks

I have this set-up. The I-link cable is included so there is no extra expense. Supposedly the I-link is a pure digital connection between the 3805 and the 5900. I really cannot tell a difference between it and the standard digital connection. As far as the auto eq and setup. I really like this feature. It really seems to adjust for room acoustics well. I have found the best tweak of the bunch for the 3805 is the "bi-amp" feature. This made a BIG improvement in sound for me. Read this forum for instruction on how to do this. Good luck.

Umm...there is no I-Link inputs on the 3805, only the Denon Link input.
