What is the best 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD on the market under $2000

I am looking to upgrade my Main TV. I have a Pioneer Elite (720P) Plasma TV that I have had for 7 years. The room I view in is on the medium lit room.

I am looking for the best 55" 4K Ultra HD TV for under $2000. Here are my contenders, but would love some other opinions on this TV search. Appreciate any advice.

My opinion is at such small tv size, 4k doesn't matter(unless you sit 3ft from it) . Instead Try to get one with accurate colors and great contrast (actual, not spec clained)
Pioneer elite are still great screens and yoll have hard time finding replacement since Panasonic no longer makes plasmas

Thanks for the reply! I am moving my Pioneer Plasma to another room in the house and have been very happy with it since day 1. I sit about 5-8 feet away from my TV. Does Panasonic still make the VT series of Plasma TV's? Do you think in colors and contrast that the VT series has outperforms the 4K Ultra TV's I have listed. Thanks

If you could still get the VT or even gt/st you'd be in luck as i said no more plasmas from Panasonic at all and its very sad . 4k is just resolution which human eye cannot fully see from 8ft

CES is in a few days, wait and see what is being released. I agree that 4k is probably unnecessary. Go with picture quality first.

I still have my Pioneer 5080HD and it's working great after 7 years. People still comment on the picture quality and how much better it is than their LCD. They really freak out when they find it is only 720P.
